The beginning of the Ministry was getting lists, buying groceries, and taking it to the home, but as people got sicker it was apparent that they could not even cook for themselves. That is when we started making sure that they got a hot meal delivered to their home at least 3 days a week. At one point during the height of the pandemic we were taking out over 100 meals, 3 days a week. There were times that we thought we would not have enough food but with the Grace of God it always appeared at just the right time. No one has ever been shorted a meal, during this entire 3 years.
As the pandemic calmed down, we found that there were still people sick, coming home from the hospital/rehab that needed the ministry to continue. Today we average about 50 meals each Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
We have been recognized and presented with the State Yellow Rose Award. We were given a plaque and a Resolution from the State of Georgia recognizing the service we have provided to our community.
